SHORTEST HORROR STORY: “Monday”

Monday’s

Everybody hates Monday’s – even to the point of saying that if Monday had a face, I’d punch it. However, the sun shine’s and let’s face it, which is why we live here in Spain. I couldn’t ask for more to be honest, only perhaps a little less cantankerous partner in crime? February is the coldest month and walking in the almond groves in the Jalon Valley is always a pleasure. A few weeks ago they were even more beautiful than usual with snow-capped mountains adding to the view.

Every year hues of white and pink flood the scenery. This is a taste of Spring, usually taking place during the months of January and February. At this time, fields of almond trees are dressed in an elegant coat of colourful blossoms, while the winter and the accompanying cold, are still at their peak. It’s a beautiful landscape to see if you are ever holidaying in Spain at this time of year. I think it’s only around 5 euros for an adult and that includes the bus.

When it’s just us two, our personal and working life are very much intertwined and it is very stressful. So, a couple of years ago when we set out to create one of the Costa Blanca’s most prestigious custom paint shops, I took myself into a fantasy fictitious world, bringing you, Red Death Diaries.

They are three short stories of around 2000 words each. Nothing special, but if you fancy a giggle, then give them a whirl; they are FREE to download. I’m not going to worry too much about the editing side of things, so I apologise now if you find errors or just simply find it confusing?

My debut novel however, that’s another story – literally.
