A beautiful, sad story about true love.
Beyond the Pale is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt stories I’ve ever had the privilege of reading. I flick back over chapters every now and then and fall even more in love with this story. It breaks my heart when I read that people say it’s porn.
Amelia’s childhood is quite traumatic, no child should ever have to endure that suffering.
If you don’t read the whole book, you won’t understand the story as it all unfolds towards the end. I’ll admit, I wondered what the fuss was half way through but as the story developed you realize something pretty horrific must of happened for Amelia to be the way she is. I didn’t realize how far her depravity ran. There were times I cried like a baby and also times I laughed, I just loved the banter between the two characters. I even jumped up and yelled “no!”
With all that being said, I loved this story and cannot wait to see what happens next.
